Please read this policy carefully before making a reservation. By booking your stay at DR BetterSelf Recovery House, you agree to all terms outlined below.

This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs all reservations, services, packages, and purchases made with DR BetterSelf Recovery House, located at C/ Caracoles #70, Caracoles del Sur, Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic.

DR BetterSelf Recovery House is a government-licensed luxury post-operative recovery facility (License No. 03201A08470) specializing in the care of plastic surgery patients. All policies on this page apply to every guest, service, and purchase without exception.

By making a reservation deposit or completing any payment with DR BetterSelf Recovery House, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the full terms of this policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not proceed with your reservation.

All Sales Are Final No Refunds. No Returns.

DR BetterSelf Recovery House maintains a strict no-refund, no-return policy across all services, packages, accommodations, and products. This policy applies regardless of the reason, timing, or circumstances of a cancellation request.

Cancellation Policy

Guests who wish to cancel a confirmed reservation at DR BetterSelf Recovery House must submit a written cancellation request via email. Cancellations requested through WhatsApp messages, phone calls, or social media direct messages will not be accepted as official cancellation notices.

How to Submit a Cancellation:

Send a Written Email

Email your cancellation request to info@drbetterself.com. Include your full legal name, your confirmed reservation date(s), and your stated reason for cancellation.

Receive Confirmation

Our team will acknowledge your cancellation request in writing within 2–3 business days. Cancellation acknowledgment does not entitle you to a refund of any deposit or payment made.

Understand the Outcome

Upon cancellation, your reservation will be closed. All deposits and payments are forfeited. No refund, credit, or rebooking offer will be provided as a result of cancellation.

Please note: Cancellations submitted after your confirmed check-in date or on the day of check-in will be treated as a No Show and are subject to the No Show Policy outlined below. No exceptions will be made.

Reservation Deposits

A reservation deposit is required to confirm and hold your dates at DR BetterSelf Recovery House. Dates are only held upon receipt of the required deposit. Without a confirmed deposit, your selected dates remain available to other guests.

  • Reservation deposits are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including medical emergencies, surgery rescheduling, personal hardships, travel disruptions, and last-minute changes.
  • Reservation deposits are strictly non-transferable. They cannot be moved to another person, applied to a different guest's reservation, or converted to a credit toward future services.
  • Payment of a reservation deposit constitutes your full acceptance of this Cancellation & Refund Policy and all other terms of service.
  • Deposits do not guarantee the availability of any specific room, bed, staff member, or beauty service. All services are subject to scheduling and availability at the time of your stay.
  • The remaining balance of your recovery package is due as outlined in your individual reservation agreement. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of your reservation at DR BetterSelf's sole discretion.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel medical insurance and trip cancellation insurance prior to booking your stay and scheduling your surgical procedure. DR BetterSelf Recovery House is not responsible for any losses arising from surgery delays, travel disruptions, or personal emergencies.

Reservation Changes & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that medical journeys can be unpredictable. If your surgery date is changed by your surgeon or if unforeseen circumstances arise, you may request a date change for your stay. However, rescheduling is not guaranteed and is subject to the following conditions.

  • All rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@drbetterself.com before your confirmed check-in date.
  • Date changes are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, entirely at DR BetterSelf's sole discretion, and are subject to availability at the time of the request.
  • DR BetterSelf cannot guarantee that a rescheduling request will be accommodated. Approval of date changes is entirely contingent on room availability and operational capacity.
  • If a rescheduling request cannot be accommodated, the reservation will be treated as a cancellation. All deposits and payments already made will be forfeited. No refund will be issued.
  • If a date change is approved, a rescheduling fee may apply, depending on the timing and circumstances of the request, at DR BetterSelf's discretion.

Refund Policy

DR BetterSelf Recovery House operates a strict no-refund policy. All payments made including but not limited to reservation deposits, package balances, service fees, product purchases, and transportation charges are final and non-refundable.

  • No refunds are issued for any reason, including but not limited to: cancelled surgeries, complications, change of mind, dissatisfaction, travel issues, or family emergencies.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused nights, unused services, or unused amenities during your stay.
  • No credits are issued toward future reservations or services as compensation for a cancelled, shortened, or modified stay.
  • All sales are final at the time of payment. No returns are accepted on any physical products, kits, or supplies sold by DR BetterSelf Recovery House.

Recovery Package Policy

All recovery packages sold by DR BetterSelf are final sale. Package prices, inclusions, and terms are confirmed at the time of booking.

  • Packages cannot be downgraded after payment is received.
  • Unused package components are not refundable or creditable.
  • Packages are non-transferable to another person.

Accommodation Policy

All accommodation charges for private or shared suites at DR BetterSelf are non-refundable once the reservation deposit is paid.

  • No refund for early checkout or early departure.
  • Room preferences are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.
  • Damages to rooms or property will be charged to the guest.

Transportation Service Policy

Transportation services provided by or arranged through DR BetterSelf Recovery House, including airport transfers and medical appointment rides, are subject to the following terms.

  • Transportation fees are non-refundable once confirmed and scheduled.
  • Cancellations of scheduled transportation must be submitted in writing at least 24 hours in advance.
  • No-shows for scheduled transportation will be charged the full service fee.

Wellness Service Policy

All beauty and wellness services including massage, facials, nail services, hair, lashes, and microblading are non-refundable once completed or confirmed.

  • Service appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged in full.
  • No refunds for services declined by the guest after scheduling.
  • Service availability depends on guest's recovery stage and medical clearance.

Plastica SX Recovery Boxes

Plastica SX Recovery Boxes are curated post-operative care kits designed to support plastic surgery recovery. All Plastica SX Recovery Boxes are sold as final sale only.

  • No returns are accepted on Plastica SX Recovery Boxes, regardless of the condition of the product or the reason for the return request.
  • No refunds are issued for Plastica SX Recovery Boxes once the order has been placed and confirmed.
  • No exchanges are offered for alternative products, sizes, or configurations after an order is placed.
  • Due to the nature of the health, hygiene, and post-operative care items included in these boxes, all sales are governed by strict health and safety regulations that prohibit the resale or return of opened or handled products.

No Show Policy

A "No Show" occurs when a guest fails to arrive at DR BetterSelf Recovery House on their confirmed check-in date without having submitted a written cancellation or rescheduling request prior to that date.

  • In the event of a No Show, the reservation will be immediately cancelled and the dates released.
  • All deposits and payments made are fully forfeited. No refund, credit, or future booking offer will be extended as a result of a No Show.
  • If you are unable to arrive due to an emergency, contact us immediately at info@drbetterself.com. While we cannot guarantee any accommodation, early communication is always appreciated.

Early Departure Policy

If a guest chooses to leave DR BetterSelf Recovery House before their confirmed checkout date, the departure is considered an Early Departure.

  • No refund or credit will be issued for any nights or services not used due to early departure.
  • Early departure does not entitle the guest to a prorated refund of their package or room rate.
  • Any medical concerns prompting early departure should be communicated to our nursing staff, who will assist in coordinating a safe transition.

Force Majeure Policy

DR BetterSelf Recovery House is not liable for failure to fulfill its obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Force majeure events include, but are not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, wildfires)
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies declared by government authorities
  • Government-mandated lockdowns, travel bans, or border closures
  • Civil unrest, war, terrorism, or national emergencies
  • Airline or airport closures and widespread travel disruptions

In the event of a force majeure, all standard cancellation and no-refund policies remain in effect. DR BetterSelf will not issue refunds or credits as a result of force majeure events. We strongly encourage all guests to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes force majeure and trip interruption coverage before confirming their reservation and surgery.

Chargeback Policy

DR BetterSelf Recovery House takes unauthorized chargebacks seriously. By making a payment for a reservation, service, or product, you agree to resolve all billing disputes directly with DR BetterSelf before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with your financial institution.

  • Initiating a chargeback without first contacting DR BetterSelf may be considered a breach of this agreement and may result in the guest being banned from future reservations.
  • DR BetterSelf will contest all chargebacks that are inconsistent with this policy and provide documentation to the relevant financial institutions to support our position.
  • Any disputes regarding billing should be directed in writing to info@drbetterself.com.

By paying a reservation deposit, booking a service, or purchasing any product from DR BetterSelf Recovery House whether online, in person, or via WhatsApp you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Cancellation & Refund Policy in its entirety. No verbal modifications, WhatsApp agreements, or informal communications override the terms stated on this page.

Can I return or get a refund on a Plastica SX Recovery Box?
No. All Plastica SX Recovery Boxes are final sale. Due to the nature of the health, hygiene, and post-operative care items included, no returns, exchanges, or refunds are accepted under any circumstances.
What is your policy for no-shows?
If a guest fails to arrive on their confirmed check-in date without prior written notice, the reservation will be treated as a no-show. All deposits and payments made are forfeited and no refund, credit, or rescheduling will be offered.
What happens if I leave the recovery house early?
Early departures are not eligible for refunds of any kind. If you choose to depart before your confirmed checkout date, no credit, partial refund, or future credit will be issued for the unused nights or services.
Does DR BetterSelf have a force majeure policy?
DR BetterSelf is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government mandates, pandemics, civil unrest, or airline cancellations. In such events, all standard cancellation and no-refund policies remain in effect. We recommend all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to their visit.
