Terms of Use
This website is provided for informational and booking purposes for prospective and current guests of DR BetterSelf Recovery House. By using this website, you agree to the following:

Booking Terms
A reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and a written booking confirmation from DR BetterSelf Recovery House. Verbal agreements, inquiry submissions, or WhatsApp discussions do not constitute a confirmed reservation.
- A deposit is required to secure your reservation dates
- Remaining balance is due in full prior to or at the time of check-in
- Packages, pricing, and availability are confirmed in writing at the time of booking
- Package changes after confirmation are subject to availability and may incur additional charges
- We reserve the right to decline any booking at our sole discretion
Reservation & Cancellation Policies
We understand that surgical schedules can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while protecting our ability to hold rooms for confirmed guests:

Date changes to a confirmed reservation are accommodated subject to availability and must be requested a minimum of 7 days before the original arrival date. Changes requested with less than 7 days notice are treated as a cancellation of the original reservation.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical procedure-related cancellations or postponements. Surgical complications, unexpected medical holds, or travel disruptions are outside our control and fall under our standard cancellation policy.
Accommodation Policies
- Check-in is available from 2:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM
- Our facility accommodates recovery guests only. It is not a hotel open to the general public
- Visitor access is permitted during designated hours with prior approval from staff
- Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the facility
- Consumption of alcohol is not permitted during the post-operative recovery period
- Intentional damage to the facility or property may result in charges and early discharge
Guest Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete medical and health information prior to arrival
- Follow all post-operative care instructions provided by your surgeon and our nursing staff
- Report any symptoms, changes, or concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain respectful conduct toward staff and other guests at all times
- Arrange and maintain valid travel insurance for the duration of your trip
- Ensure valid travel documents (passport, visa if required) for entry into the Dominican Republic
Medical Disclaimer
DR BetterSelf Recovery House provides post-operative recovery support services only. Nothing on this website, in our communications, or provided by our staff constitutes medical advice, a medical diagnosis, or a substitute for the care of a licensed medical professional.
- We do not perform or supervise surgical procedures of any kind
- Our nursing staff provides monitoring and comfort care, not clinical medical treatment
- All prescription medications are managed by the guest under their surgeon's direction
- In a medical emergency, we will immediately contact your surgeon and emergency services
- Guests with medical complications beyond standard post-operative recovery may be referred to appropriate medical facilities
All guests are required to have a confirmed, licensed surgeon and a post-operative care plan before their stay begins. DR BetterSelf Recovery House reserves the right to contact emergency medical services on your behalf at any time if our staff believes your safety is at risk.
Recovery Service Disclaimer
Recovery outcomes vary by individual and depend on many factors, including surgical technique, the guest's overall health, adherence to post-operative instructions, and individual healing processes.

Transportation Disclaimer
Airport transfers included in select packages are arranged with third-party transportation providers. DR BetterSelf Recovery House is not responsible for delays, route changes, or incidents arising from third-party transportation.
- Transportation is provided as a convenience, not a medical transport service
- Please confirm flight details at least 48 hours before arrival
- Flight delays or changes are the guest's responsibility to communicate promptly
Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change without notice prior to the issuance of a written booking confirmation. Confirmed reservations are locked at the quoted price.
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation (amount specified at booking)
- Full balance is due prior to or upon arrival
- We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital payment methods
- Additional services requested during your stay will be charged at current rates
- Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us for resolution may result in a dispute and additional fees
All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment systems. Your financial information is never stored on our servers. Receipts are provided for all transactions upon request.

In such cases, we will communicate with affected guests as promptly as possible and work to find reasonable alternative arrangements or apply appropriate credits.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your stay at DR BetterSelf shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Dominican Republic.
This does not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights you may hold under the laws of your country of residence.

For reservations already confirmed at the time of a change, the Terms in effect at the date of confirmation will apply to that reservation unless you expressly agree to the updated Terms.

Recovery packages include private accommodations in our luxury facility, 24/7 nurse monitoring, daily nursing care visits, meals and hydration support, lymphatic drainage massage sessions (varies by package), airport transfers (select packages), daily housekeeping, and access to all shared common areas. Does DR BetterSelf provide medical care?
DR BetterSelf Recovery House is a post-operative recovery facility, not a medical clinic or hospital. We provide supervised nursing monitoring, post-operative care support, and recovery services. We do not perform surgical procedures, diagnose medical conditions, or prescribe medications. All guests must have a licensed surgeon and remain under the care of their surgical team throughout their recovery.
What happens if I have a medical emergency at DR BetterSelf?
In the event of a medical emergency, our staff will immediately contact emergency medical services and your designated surgeon or surgical team. We maintain relationships with nearby hospitals and emergency care providers. We are equipped to stabilize and support guests while awaiting emergency medical response, but we are not a substitute for emergency medical care.
Is DR BetterSelf responsible for my surgical outcome?
No. DR BetterSelf Recovery House is not responsible for surgical outcomes, complications arising from the surgical procedure itself, or decisions made by your surgeon or surgical team. Our services are limited to post-operative recovery support. All guests are required to acknowledge this distinction before their stay begins.
What law governs these Terms and Conditions?
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any disputes arising from these terms or your stay at DR BetterSelf shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
